Meet Greg! He’s the new owner of Matt’s, and just like his mentor’s Chris and Dave, he will be performing all the same great services to our local community since 1959!

What sets Matt’s Body Shop apart from other businesses in larger cities?
Greg responded “At Matt’s Body Shop you are NOT treated like a number. We understand the inconvenience you are experiencing due to your vehicle problems and do our best to fix it correctly and get it back in a timely manner.”

*Services Provided: Collision Repair, Chassis and mechanical repair, and routine maintenance. They also specialize in alignments and tires.

What services are offered?
Marzolf Implement Co. was started in 1954. They offer New Massey Ferguson products, tractors of all sizes and hay tools. New Gleaner combines, Gehl Skidloaders plus many other shortline Ag products. Plus, New Simplicity Zero Turns and riding mowers. We also have a full service staff for equipment, ag and home lawn mowers and chainsaws of all brands. We also carry a large parts inventory to keep equipment running.

What do you want people to know about your business?
We have been in business for over 67 years with a very dedicated staff that is committed to giving great service to all customers, regardless of what the problem or repair they need.

What do you like about having a business in Spring Valley?
Small town environment is great. Citizens care about supporting their local business. This is a great part of the state as well as the Midwest. Being located close to Rochester allows for an expanded customer base and a strong economy that provides a strong economic base to help business prosper.

Fun fact about your business?
Marzolf Implement was originally located in what is currently Valley Lanes Bowling Alley. It moved to its present location in 1966 when the property came up for public auction.

In the company’s early days, it sold Studebaker and Nash cars as well as new Whirlpool washing machines and refrigerators. The current owner Corey Marzolf, has a 1963 Studebaker Lark that is driven every summer. It was sold new by his father Harold.

Good Earth Village

Ministry offerings include a full-service retreat center, summer camp programs, leadership development training, and community service opportunities.

Meet Tyler

SV Chamber Board Member Spotlight this month is Tyler Anderson.
Tyler is a great asset to our chamber board, he serves as our Secretary and our technology guy, he is currently working on our Chamber website. He has deep roots to our community with family here. He brings much time and talent to our community and is always willing to step up and help out where needed. Thank you Tyler for all you do.
Tyler and his wife Carmen live in Wykoff with their 2 children, daughter Savannah and son Elijah and soon baby #3.

How many years on Chamber? 2 1/2 years

Why did you join Chamber? Good Earth Village has been a Chamber member for some time now, but I began attending meetings when I started working at Good Earth Village in 2018.

Business and committees you serve on and how long have you been employed at GEV? Secretary for Spring Valley Chamber of Commerce, Christmas on Historic Broadway, Spring Valley Easter Egg Hunt, and Buy Local. I also sit on the board for SE Minnesota Lutheran Men in Mission. I have worked at Good Earth Village as the Director of Retreat Services for nearly 3 years.

What do you like most about Spring Valley? I love the support everyone shows each other when someone is in need. Whether it is a business, school, church, or family situation; this community comes together to do whatever they can to help.

Meet Kristin

Meet our Spring Valley Chamber Board Member, Kristin Howard.

Kristin is a hometown Spring Valley girl, who joined the Chamber in 2018. She serves on several SV boards and has great knowledge of the community. Thank you Kristin for all you do for Spring Valley and the Chamber.

How many years have you served on chamber? 3 years

Business and committees you serve on in the community: Spring Valley Public Utilities (10 years), Kingsland Athletic Booster Club and Spring Valley Chamber of Commerce.

What do you like most about Spring Valley? There are so many benefits of living in a small town. You really can’t beat small town business owners who know you by name and help you out with what you need.

Why did you join the chamber board? Joining actually came by surprise as Stacey sent me a message after an annual meeting and said – congratulations, you’re on the chamber board! I had told her I would be interested in serving on the board. The Chamber is a great asset to our business community.
