Cody bought the business in July of 2011 although it has been here since 1979. What services are offered? Custom meat processing (Beef, hogs, and sheep), full retail meat sales, and catering. We also sell Green Mountain grills and supplies. What do you want people to know about your business? We are a small family owned business. We value our customers and strive to exceed their expectations. We make a lot of the products sold here ourselves including 13 different flavors of brats, 10 flavors of jerky, 20 plus flavors of beef sticks, dried beef, summer sausage and more! How many employees? 10, including full and part time employees. What do you like about having a business in Spring Valley? The people! Many of our customers are “regulars” and it’s always fun to visit with them as well as meeting the new customers that stop in. Fun fact about your business? We make our very own Ody’s seasoning blend. We sell it but also use it in many of our catering dishes and for personal use 😊

Our Chamber Spotlight business this month is Valley Home Improvement. VHI is a huge asset to our community. Our community is very lucky to have Matt & Cheyanne, always willing to lend a helping hand. Look them up for all your building needs! When were you established? 1982, but been in Spring Valley since 1995 What services are offered? We have the knowledge and experience to guide you through any size building project. We supply materials for any type of project you can dream up. House packages, decks, roofing, pole sheds, windows, interior and exterior doors, cabinets and everything in between. We can also assist in selections and color schemes to make sure everything fits your preferences and style just right. We work very close with many local contractors to help with your project. What do you want people to know about your business? We are a member of a large buying group which helps our buying power. This allows us access to every product available. We are able to be competitive against the big box stores. We encourage all to check our pricing. We offer free estimates and delivery. We have been involved in many projects over the years from small to large. We recently supplied all the material on a $10 million project from the framing materials down to the paint and everything in between. Meet Tiffany Mundfrom
Spring Valley Chamber of Commerce newest board member is Tiffany Mundfrom. TIffany has been a lifelong member of the Spring Valley Community where she lives with her husband Eric and 3 kids, Hunter, Noah and Esme. How many years on Chamber? One Why did you join Chamber? I am interested in doing more as a business owner to help support our local businesses and promote all that Spring Valley has to offer. Business and committees you serve on and how long have you been employed at your jobs? I’ve work at Mayo Clinic for 15 years in various rolls within development(philanthropy), finance, and supply chain solutions. I’m also a Realtor licensed with Property Brokers of Minnesota. I’ve had my license for 4 years and recently opened an office in downtown Spring Valley. Community involvement: -SV Chamber board (Christmas on Historic Broadway) -Wednesdays on Broadway (NEW community event coming summer 2022) -KSP-Kingsland School Parents -Kingsland School Board What do you like most about Spring Valley? I love that, in Spring Valley, the feeling of community and family can seem interchangeable. It’s evident in the way that people and businesses come together to support each other and rally behind each other in times of need. I love that Spring Valley continues to grow, promoting our school through collaborative innovation, and truly has so much to offer in terms of businesses that you do not need to leave town to have your needs met.

Spring Valley Chamber Business Spotlight is Good Earth Village. Good Earth Village is a great asset to our community, it is hidden back in the beautiful bluff country. Summer Camp programs, full service retreat center with rental services for lodging, camping, meals, and wedding packages, leadership development training, and community service opportunities. What do you want people to know about your business? Good Earth Village has served Southeast Minnesota for over 50 years and through our summer camp programming we have developed great leaders in ministry and other organizations around the country. How many employees? 6 full time staff and 5 part time staff. What do you like about having a business in Spring Valley? Spring Valley offers a variety of businesses and activities in Southeast Minnesota and we love that we have been a part of this community for as long as we have. The variety we have as a community makes it easier to support each other and offer great experiences to those that visit. Fun fact about your business? Good Earth Village has nearly 500 acres of beautiful land for all to explore and experience. Hiking and fishing are popular things in the warmer season on site while snowshoeing and sledding are some great winter season activities that you can do here.

Business and committees you serve on and how long have you been employed at your jobs? Exit Realty, 3 years 6 months respectively and the Kingsland Athletic Booster Club. What do you like most about Spring Valley? The people
